What could be causing the numbness that i feel for a pinched nerve? I am experiencing numbness on the left side of my chest, under the left arm and back. I have had a sharp pain for 3 weeks through my shoulder blade to the chest.

It is debatable, but the worst possible case of severe pain in the shoulder blade and deep in the chest would be a rare condition called aortic dissection. The problems of the gallbladder and heart may also cause pain in the region of the armpit (axilla). Corresponding to T2 spinal nerve also supplies an area including underarm skin and a piece of ring-shaped walking his chest above the nipples along the armpits and across the back on the same level (also includes part of the skin of the arm). After ruling out causes such as dissection, heart problems and a problem of the gallbladder, a neurosurgeon may help make a diagnosis for your pain.
