Your symptoms are not unusual for this stage of pregnancy . As the uterus grows , the ligaments supporting the pelvis are stretched , leading to some pain in the pelvic and lumbar area. However, any pain that is worse than usual as menstrual cramps, should alert the obstetrician ( like any vaginal bleeding). Similarly, mild headaches and hot flashes could be the result of normal hormonal fluctuations , but severe or unusual symptoms (eg , visual changes ) need a medical evaluation.
