Why do I have a stiff neck when I experience migraines?

During a migraine covering his nerves become sensitive brain in a process called (neurogenic inflammation). This affects the lining of the brain , also called meninges. When the meninges are inflamed , people experience neck stiffness . This is not a universal symptom of migraines but I have seen patients who suffer like my own wife .
