I have a pain that runs down my left side of my neck, the area around the ear and the left side of my head to the temporal lobe. I'm taking ibuprofen, fish oil and aspirin. I received steroid injections in the L 3/4 for back pain in the 3/6.

Not sure what the symptoms are acute. Have swelling, redness, fever or nausea? This could mean an infection of the lymph nodes in the neck, throat, ear or even a dental infection. Ear infections can create this constellation of symptoms besides loss or hearing problems, ear drainage, etc.. The jaw joint pain can radiate to the neck, ears and head, and worse with chewing, yawning, and talk (but not always). Many problems of neck or throat may radiate to the ear and head area. If it looks like an infection, go to the emergency room if more chronic or painful, you may want to wait to see your doctor.
