The bloody diarrhea is always a worrying sign . When associated with vomiting and fever, foodborne illness ( " food poisoning " ) and inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis) are transmitted at the beginning of the list of possibilities , and both require a medical evaluation. The bloody diarrhea caused by food poisoning usually indicates infection with E. coli or Shigella . Both can be cured quickly, but can also be a shock or even death in severe cases. Your health center should be informed of when these infections occur . Inflammatory bowel disease may come and go , but often get worse over time and is often associated with external problems to your gut, such as arthritis and liver disease . Even if you have improved , you should tell your story to the doctor for it / can give you a recommendation. Good Luck!
