Nausea, mild pain in the left side of the chest, pain in the upper back, pain in the arm. Electrocardiogram and blood tests normal. What could it be? About 6 weeks ago I had nausea, pain in the upper, middle and left part of the chest, mild shortness of breath, tingling in the top of the back occasionally.

There are a number of issues to consider here: despite their normal ECG and an analytical 6 weeks ago, heart disease has not been completely ruled out. If your pain is stress, ie, if it worsens with exertion and seems to diminish or disappear with rest, or if you have any cardiac risk factor is necessary a complete checkup to rule out heart disease. A stress test or angiography may indicate a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lung), which may be caused by the above symptoms. Gastrointestinal problems: Gastroesophageal reflux is a possibility, if this is the cause of your pain is resolved with an antacid. But the question here is this if the pain persists and antacids do not work check with your doctor....
